Skiing

I've been skiing since I was 3 years old. I grew up ski racing on the east coast, and my Senior Year of high school was one of the 10 best racers in the division, even though racing was never my passion. I love skiing for the freedom it allows. It's just you and the mountain. Skiing played a large part of my decision to attend the University of Colorado in Boulder. It will always be my happy place and I love sharing my passion with anyone willing to get out with me. I have done some volunteer work with the Ignite program at Eldora, although I decided to help with the snowboarding program when they was a shortage of snowboard instructors. I took up snowboarding when I was 12 and do consider myself an expert. I can snowboard everything I can ski just not at the same level. While at Ignite I was a binding technician and helped get equipment setup for the students to ride, but on the slopes I mainly taught snowboarding to students from the Colorado Center for the Blind.
